Ashley holds a BAS degree in Horticultural Sciences from Boise State University and is on the brink of two decades of experience of both agriculture and cannabis-centric cultivation. She successfully co-founded Cascadia Labs, one of the leading cannabis analytical labs in the nation, as well as helped launch Portland Chapter Women Grow.

Chris van Hook
Chris Van Hook is a nationally recognized expert on agricultural regulations, organic farming and cannabis. He is both a USDA Accredited Organic Certifier as well as a California cannabis compliance attorney. He is the Program Director of the Clean Green Certification Program, a Nationally-recognized cannabis certification program based on the USDA National Organic Program. The Clean Green Program has been featured on national Geographic. Chris, a state and nationally mobile attorney, was selected as one of three attorneys representing “small town America ” by the American Bar Association published book “Attorneys in Small Town America.” He has also been a lobbyist in the fields of aquaculture, agriculture, and environmental industries.
Chris is now certifying both medical and recreational cannabis in California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Nevada and Puerto Rico! He is a frequent speaker at cannabis events and seminars.
Certified Kind founder and Director, Andrew Black, spent the past 11 years working for Oregon Tilth, one of the nation’s most trusted organic certification agencies. Andrew has worn many hats in organic certification, including Farm Program Manager, Inspector, Final Reviewer, Latin American Specialist, and Certification Officer. Andrew has inspected hundreds of farms and food processing facilities in the United States and Latin America and has made certification decisions for hundreds more. He is an expert compliance reviewer for products certified to the USDA National Organic program plus the organic standards of the European Union, Canada, and Mexico. He also has hands on experience growing plants in greenhouses, and for several years grew vegetables for 15 families from his small urban farm.
