Waldo Takilma Community Planting Day

November 28, 2018 @ 10:00 am – 4:30 pm
Sienna Fitzpatrick

Please join us at the Waldo-Takilma Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC) for a day of restoring native plant communities! This ACEC has had significant negative impacts from unauthorized off road vehicle use and trash dumping. Over the last few years community members and groups have worked to clean up this special management area, prevent additional damages, and now we can begin restoring the natural plant communities and rare species habitat! We have thousands of plants that need to get in the ground, so the more hands the better!

Please be prepared for all weather including cold and rain.

Suggested attire: heavy duty footwear (hiking boots, work boots, rain boots, hiking shoes, etc), rain gear or winter coat, warm hat, and dress in layers to accommodate changing weather conditions throughout the day.

Bring a lunch, water, and your motivation to plant lots of native species!

Tools, gloves, drinks, and snacks will be provided.

Please call or email with any questions or concerns, and we look forward to seeing you!

Hosted by the Illinois Valley Soil & Water Conservation District and Watershed Council, Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands, and the Bureau of Land Management.
